We take pride in everything we do here at The Bike Club.

From the products we offer, to the service we provide, we want to make buying bikes for children easier, both financially and physically.

Most bikes that you buy online come part assembled. We deliver with just the handlebars and peddles needing to be fit).

Cost

Your first delivery is free, after that delivery costs £19.99. There is also a joining fee of £19.99 which is a one-off cost throughout your membership of the Bike Club.

By charging for delivery, we can keep the cost of the monthly payments down as much as possible, saving you more in the long run.

For deliveries, we use a third party courier. If you do need help putting the bike together, we provide a manual and we're always happy to jump on the phone or have a video call if there are any others questions.

When?

We aim to deliver within 2 weeks of order confirmation and usually it's a lot quicker.

However, we are only able to deliver once we receive your goods from our supplier. For this reason, we cannot currently offer express delivery however we hope to do so in future.

You can view our current available days for delivery once you get to checkout, and select a specific day for delivery too.

Where?

We currently only operate within the UK.

If you live outside the UK, let us know you're interested and we'll look at expanding to accommodate your country in our scheme.

Delivery slots

Unfortunately UK couriers that deliver large parcels (bicycles!) are unable to offer delivery slots. Therefore you will be given a day for delivery, but we are unable to provide an idea of when during that day your bike will be delivered.

Contact us to find out more if you have any other questions.

What if I'm not in when you deliver?

We ask that an adult is present when we deliver. If you need to re-arrange delivery, our courier company can attempt again to deliver.

If we are unable to complete delivery and are not contacted beforehand will contact you to re-arrange delivery. Unfortunately these circumstances we may need to charge an additional delivery fee, however, you will not begin paying your monthly subscription charges until you have received your bike(s).

All bikes must be signed for to confirm receipt of goods.

Can I track my delivery?

Yes, you will be provided with a tracking number.

We want to make this as simple as possible, so before we get to the legal bit, this is a quick summary (the lawyers tell us that we should point out that this summary does not prejudice the actual agreement, we're just trying to make things easier).

This is a hire/ exchange scheme, so no, that's not new bikes (although the fleet is new at the moment), but this is a long term, pay monthly hire agreement in which we actively encourage you to exchange the bike as your child grows. All our bikes are well maintained and looked after to the highest standard. We want your child to love cycling our bikes, so we work hard to make sure they are in excellent condition for you.

In summary, this is how our service works:

    1.       You need a bike for your child, so you have come to us,

    2.       You choose a bike based on your child’s size

    3.       We provide you with the bike and you pay monthly

    a.       This is a hire/ exchange scheme, so instead of paying upfront you pay monthly and hire the bike on a long-term basis

    b.        When your child grows out of a bike, come back to us to arrange an exchange. We then send you the next size up. You then pack your old bike in the box and we arrange collection

    4.       When you come to exchange we charge a small delivery fee, this is to keep monthly payments low. We can also send you more chain oil etc if you’ve run out (and we’re probably cheaper than the shops)

    5.       Not all the bikes you will receive will be new.  This is an exchange scheme so you will receive a used bike. We do however maintain all the bikes so that they are as good as new

    a.       It’s a bit like hiring a car, you know it’s been used, but they still have that new car feel

    6.       When you exchange your bike for a bigger one your monthly fee is likely to increase, this is because it’s a bigger bike and has a higher RRP

    a.       Don’t worry though, we’ll let you know what the fee is by email in good time

    b.       We want to keep you as a customer – so we’ll always work hard to keep you happy

    7.       When exchanging the bike we like to aim for your child’s birthday, so do let us know when it is and hopefully we can make sure they get another shiny bike every year

    8.    Now time for the legal bit, if you ever have any questions just email us on info@thebikeclub.co
